Holy Family Parish Holy Week Schedule 2026

Confessions are heard for at least 15 minutes before every Mass.

Palm Sunday (March 29)
Masses, Vespers, and Confessions follow the regular Sunday schedule, except the 12:30 p.m. Mass will be postponed to 1:30 p.m., due to the length of the 11:00 a.m. Mass.

Wednesday (April 1)
Tenebræ: 8:00 p.m.

Confessions from 7:30 to 7:55 p.m.

Holy Thursday (April 2)
No Masses during the day. Church open at 9:00 a.m.
Mass of the Lord’s Supper: 8:00 p.m. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight.
Confessions: 7:00 – 7:45 p.m., and after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper until midnight.
Pabasa begins in the parish hall after the Mass and continues until noon on Good Friday.

Good Friday (April 3)
This is a day of fasting and abstinence.
Church open at 9:00 a.m.
Liturgy of the Passion: 3:00 p.m.
Stations of the Cross: 7:30 p.m.
followed by a blessing with the relic of the True Cross.
Confessions: 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and during Stations of the Cross.

Holy Saturday (April 4)
No morning or afternoon Mass. Church open 9:00 a.m.
Confessions: 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 – 8:45 p.m.
Easter Vigil Mass: 9:00 p.m.

Easter Sunday (April 5)
Masses, Vespers, and Confessions follow the regular Sunday schedule.

Easter Monday (April 6)

  • 10:00 a.m. Mass
  • 11:30 a.m. Mass (Latin)
  • 5:00 p.m. Mass

The regular weekday schedule of Masses and Confessions resumes on April 7. The whole week, from Easter Sunday until Sunday, April 12 (inclusive), is known as the Easter Octave. Each day is a solemnity, so Easter Friday is not a day of penance or abstinence from meat.
